Starting June 1st Harper will be at Threshold Healing four days a week!!

Sunday (10:30am-4pm), Monday (2pm-7:30pm), Tuesday (9am-2pm), and Saturday (5pm-8:30pm)

We are so excited to have had Harper working at Threshold for the past year! It is such a sweet treat that they will soon be working here more and able to see more and more amazing humans!

What do you love about being a massage therapist?

Massage has been personally transformative for me, both as a client and as a massage therapist.  I find it to be a really grounding, creative way to be present in the world.  I love working with clients to address whatever brings them to the table, and I especially love the synergy that happens when I’m connecting with a client to facilitate healing.  Massage is a kind of alchemy, and it can have a profound impact on our wellbeing.

How do you describe your massage style?

Slow, deep, and attentive.

What are your goals when working with clients?

My goal is to support my client’s goals, whatever those may be, and to invite clients to be in relationship with their bodies.  I see myself as a facilitator and while I do bring expertise and training, my clients are the experts in what their bodies need.

Future plans with massage / styles you want to or are studying?

I plan on pursuing manual lymphatic drainage certification over the summer, which will support me in working with post-operative clients.  I also plan on training in abdominal massage and Thai massage in the future.

Anything else?

I love working at Threshold because of our focus on trauma informed massage and our commitment to serving all bodies.  As a larger bodied, neurodivergent trans person who lives with chronic pain, it means a lot to me to be able to serve my peers and be involved in creating a space that exists for all of us.
